We had the pleasure of catching up with owner Amanda Geldikaya at her gorgeous salon to talk about tanning, beaches, holidays and relaxing...

  

Could you tell us a bit about your salon and what makes you so passionate about your work?

At our salon we aim to bring the natural beauty out of our clients to make them feel beautiful inside and out.

Why did you choose to become a brand partner with Tuscan Tan?

After trialing many different tans Tuscan Tan was the spray tan of choice. We love the colour it creates and the spray system because we know we will always achieve a perfect natural and even tan.

What is your first memory of professional spray tans and Tuscan Tan?

I remember the first professional tan I used had an orange tinge to it, and the spray application was patchy. After trialling Tuscan Tan I was very impressed with the spray system and the natural colour we can achieve with the tan.

As a spray tan professional, what is your best tanning tip?

Exfoliate two to three times a week and moisturise every time you get out of the shower, especially in winter! We are in and out of that much artificial dry heat, it really draws the moister out of our skin, so by getting into this routine early on, it’s easy to maintain all throughout the year.

What is your best pre and post care advice for a professional spray tan or self tan?

An important part of a tan is the preparation; we advise our clients to prepare their skin by using the PH body wash as we know this will not form a barrier on their skin when the tan is working to activate. Our best post care advice would be to keep your skin hydrated; Using a moisturiser on a regular basis will help you skin nourished therefore you tan will look better for even longer.

What is your favourite Tuscan Tan product and why?

The Tuscan Tan Gradual Self Tan Milk; It’s a great product that’s easy to apply, and it keeps your skin hydrated and looking great. We also love the Tuscan Tan extender as it really helps the tan last longer.

You’re extremely successful in tanning. Can you tell us your best tip for successfully building a professional spray tanning clientele?

Our salon is highly focused on the natural look. Everything we do, we aim to stick to it. Our clients know that coming to Skinologie 2 for a spray tan, they will get a natural beautiful look.

You’re ideal holiday destination? Does it require a tan? Would you go for a spray tan or take some self tanner for tops ups?

Holiday destination would have to be anywhere on the beach! And YES, definitely requires a tan. I would have a spray tan before I leave and then take a bottle of self tanner along with me to keep the tan going.

My ideal Saturday night is…

Having a relaxing dinner with friends followed by a late night movie.
